Marie Antoinette Cake Paper Shoe - 1 to 1 Swap
I created this shoe for a 1 to 1 Swap at Marie Antoinette Mail Art. The theme was "Let Them Eat Cake" and it needed to be a paper shoe with cake on it filled with lovely items.
I've included a cupcake both on the front of the shoe and on the inside.

Mixed Media Monday - Party Animals
I am pleased to be the guest hostess for the Mixed Media Monday challenge this week. We are getting a new puppy in June and I've had dogs on the brain lately so I've chosen "Party Animals" as the theme this week. I hope you will join the challenge found here: http://mixedmediamonday.wordpress.com/ . Can't wait to see what everyone creates! - Kris
**We're waiting for our Cavachon puppy to be born in May. Cavachon (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise mix) This will be my daughter's first puppy and she is very excited. I haven't had a baby in the house for almost 11 years. We lost our beloved 16 year old peek-a-poo last year and our home has not been the same. It took awhile but we are ready to have another fuzzy face in the family again.**

Elegant Marie Antoinette Paper Shoe #2
My second shoe for the Marie Antoinette Elegant Shoe Swap. This time, very French. The papers are flocked so they feel like velvet. The tutorial and template by Terri Heintz can be found here: http://artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com/2010/01/elegant-shoe-tutorial.html

Elegant Marie Antoinette Paper Shoe #1
Here are 3 views of the first of 4 shoes that I'm creating for a Marie Antoinette Elegant Shoe Swap at Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group on Ning. This paper shoe is 8" long by 2.5" wide and filled with antique lace and trim from Flights of Fancy Boutique (my favorite on-line trim store). Some of the antique lace was hand-tatted by my Maternal Great-Grandmother. I wish my Grandmother was still here to see it. She'd love to see what I'm doing with all the lace and trim she gave me. I managed to charm myself today...I've never made anything like this before. Stay tuned...three more different shoes to come shortly.
