Mixed Media Monday - Mermaid

I tried it in both an ATC size (above) and a card size (below)...

I had a great time making these. The backgrounds were created using the Heated Pearls Technique on patterned turquoise paper. All trims are from Flights of Fancy Boutique. The image is a vintage photograph of Theda Bara (Circa. 1920s).

  12. The card and the ATC are wonderful ! The effect with the "bubbles" is clever. All your lovely laces and bordures, shells and all come together to an excellent collage !

  15. This is AWESOME!!!!! I looked at the close up of your card and it looks like a crazy quilt, the background is almost like a fabric, and you stuck all the little crystals in there?
    Is there anywhere we can see this technique done?
