I created this shadow box for a themed 1/1 swap at Marie Antoinette Mail Art. We had several themes to chooose from and I chose "Masquerade Ball". This was so much fun to make. The box is approx.10.5" x 5.5" x 2.5" with an opening flap. I chose to do a black and white color scheme (like the masquerade ball in "Amadeus"). I will be sending this to Melanie Hall.
I hope to complete a similar shadow box for myself to keep but this time with a "Halloween Masquerade Ball" theme. ~~~Coming soon to my "A Nostalgic Halloween" blog.~~~
This theme was open to interpretation and I chose to do minimal embellishment with an asian flair. Please visit http://mixedmediamonday.wordpress.com/ to see all the wonderful submissions this week.

The theme of this swap was to incorporate a peacock into your arch. He is the mascot at Marie Antoinette Mail Art and his name is Pierre Paon.
The top arch is mine and the three gorgeous arches I received are from Roxie Morrow, Michelle Carrier and Terri Gordon. Such happy mail! Thank you gals for a wonderful swap!
I've been getting emails as to how Sophie is doing so I thought I'd post a current picture of her. Here she is at 5 1/2 months old. She is a smart little pup...already house trained and has learned to sit and fetch. **Sophie is a Cavachon (Bichon Frise and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix)**
This week at Mixed Media Monday the theme is "Past Loves". Not old flames but something you used to love to do and haven't done in a long time. I used to make quite a bit of jewelry at one time. I haven't touched my bead stash in years and I also needed to make charms for a swap at Marie Antoinette Mail Art so I spent the day making charms for the swap and also made this charm bracelet for myself. I spent all day working on 36 different charms...this is just a small sample of my work.
Thanks for a great challenge. It was nice to break out the needle nose pliers again. Please visit: http://mixedmediamonday.wordpress.com/ to see all the lovely art this week.
