Here are 3 views of the first of 4 shoes that I'm creating for a Marie Antoinette Elegant Shoe Swap at Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group on Ning. This paper shoe is 8" long by 2.5" wide and filled with antique lace and trim from Flights of Fancy Boutique (my favorite on-line trim store). Some of the antique lace was hand-tatted by my Maternal Great-Grandmother. I wish my Grandmother was still here to see it. She'd love to see what I'm doing with all the lace and trim she gave me. I managed to charm myself today...I've never made anything like this before. Stay tuned...three more different shoes to come shortly.

Oh, these shoes are so pretty!! Just love them!
Kris, your shoe is just beautiful. They are very addicting. Once I got going I could not stop, I would find more papers and want to do more. Love your blog, beautiful. Have a great week. I hope I get one of your beautiful shoes. Hugs, Terri
Oh this is exquisite! I love the beautiful bow and the color scheme.
Great job! I can't wait to see the rest of them.
Fantastic! Well done.
Beautifully done and embellished to perfection!
S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G!! Oh my goodness, can I have this? LOL! I, too, wish my grandmother were still alive to see some of the things I make. She was an artist and I think she would really appreciate all the beautiful items people make with mostly paper.
Your talent never ceases to amaze me! Your shoe looks beautiful and that trim is gorgeous. Are you sure you've never made one of these before?????
How dainty, elegant, and ethereal these shoes are ~ you are such a talented artist! I always love to visit and see what you are created ~ and I am never disappointed with everything I find here. Wishing you many blessings! <3 Katie

This is AMAZING Kris! One of the prettiest things I've ever seen.
That show is absolutely gorgeous! Love the colors and everything ties in so nicely with the lace! I love tatted lace. I am looking in the photos and I don't see any tatting, but I'd love to see a more detailed photo of your grandmother's tatted lace! How special! :)
Just incredible! They are so gorgeous.
As I have said on the Marie site, your shoes are gorgeous! So well done!
